US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 324K
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 18K last week to a seasonally adjusted 324K in the week ended April 26, surpassing expectations at 345K and coming from 342K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, rose by 12K to a seasonally adjusted 3.019 million in the week ended April 20 vs. 3.007 million in the previous week (revised).
